What is the shelf life of Curltivate's products?
All of our Cleanse (Gentle Shampoo) and Hydrate (Conditioner) products have a 12 month shelf life, however as our Nourish (Styling Gel) products are small batch made using plant based ingredients they have a shelf life of 6 months.
Flaking? What does it mean? Why did it happen?
As with a lot of natural gel products, you may experience some flaking after you scrunch out the crunch. If this is noticeable on your hair, try using less product, make sure your hair is dripping wet when applying and if that doesn't work try applying a little more water.Bottle Leaking?
As we have opted for Aluminium, planet friendly bottles, they can heat up if not stored appropriately. If you store your Curltivate products near direct sunlight, this will cause the air inside the bottle to heat up and as aluminium doesn't expand like plastic (thats a good thing!!), it will cause the product to be pushed up the spout and potentially leak.Product Separation?
As Curltivate products are as natural as possible ( 95% at least, no nasty chemicals to bind it together here!), it can lead to some issues with separation if the bottles are not stored correctly. Store bottles away from direct sunlight, and if you find your product has separated, give it a shake before use. If you believe it to be a faulty product please contact us at hello@curltivate.com.au and we will happily work with you to rectify or replace .Are Curltivate's products colour safe?
Yes, our products do not contain ay colour stripping chemicals, or any chemicals for that matter.
How much product should I use in each application?
Each product has individual usage instructions, which can be found in their product page, and also on the bottle's label. However, as for many curlies, it really is a matter of trial and error!
Are your products vegan?
Absolutely. No animal products or by products are used in the creation of Curltivate products. We are a plant based company.
Are your products tested on animals?
Never, we only test on Curly Girls and family!
Do your products have silicones/sulphates/parabens?
Not at all! We are completely silicone, sulphate and paraben free, and proud of it!
Why do you use “x“ ingredient?
All of our ingredients are carefully researched and tested to create the best possible product for you hair. We do understand that some products have very long, chemical-looking names, and so we have gone into great detail about the ingredients we use here. Do you ship internationally?
Unfortunately at this time we are unable to offer international shipping as a standard practice. If you are interested in having our products shipped internationally please contact us.
My shipment hasn't arrived. What's my next step?
For any issues with your shipment/parcel not arriving please contact us with your order number and we will be in touch as soon as possible to help you resolve the problem.
What is your returns policy?
Unfortunately we don't accept returns or refunds if you change your mind. We do accept exchanges for faulty product. If you believe your product to be faulty, please contact us as soon as possible so we can work with you to resolve the problem.
Can I exchange my product?
Please choose carefully, as exchanges and refunds are only provided for faulty or damaged product.
I ordered the wrong item, what do I do now?
Please contact us straight away if you have ordered the wrong items. If we have not yet shipped your order we can help you to make the appropriate changes.
